In Like a Lion. . .
Well, it's been threatening for the last 18 hours, but it looks like March is going to begin with a roar! For the first time in our 12 years in the Midwest we are in a Blizzard Warning for the next 36 hours. Needless to say, the kids don't have school today. They probably won't have school tomorrow either, but the school district won't announce that until late tonight. Now we just get to hope that the electricity stays on!

Yesterday after work, I was rushing to get some mulch down before the storm was to hit. In the span of 5 minutes, I watched it go from a balmy 70 blue skies to a it was a dark and stormy night" type scene. I finished just as the first cold drops started to hit. While eating dinner, we had some hail, rain and sonw all at one shot. Needless to say, we spent some time in the basement, keeping an eye on the weather warnings...
Now we're to expect some snow, but I really hope they got it all wrong. I'm really hoping that they got it wrong for you too, but those radars look pretty sure...
Blizzards in March just seems so awful...
Stay warm and I hope you stockpiled lots of hot chocolate!
The only "nice" thing about a blizzard in March is that it doesn't stay around as long as it could otherwise. But it's still a beast to be reckoned with.
So, do you have any indoor projects that need doing that might not need electricity if it gets to that state?
All I gotta say is, "You should be in California." No blizzards, no snow, no tornadoes, just a little on the chilly side.
